E. Casa de Calvo

Downtown Boise

Boise, ID ~

While I lived in Boise, the state capitol building seemed to be under constant construction. It may have since been fully renovated, but somehow I doubt it. Another impressive aspect was the town’s cleanliness (no sarcasm implied; it was unusually clean). I have yet to visit a comparable city, except perhaps for Des Moines, IA.

Finally, if you are ever in the neighborhood, you must visit the Egyptian Theater. It was established in 1927, and has been beautifully maintained. I’ll never forget watching “It’s a Wonderful Life” there! I regret not taking any photos of it. : (
