Île d’Orléans | Quebec, QC

December 29, 2018 by E. Casa de Calvo

The historic Île d’Orléans is located in the St. Lawrence river, within view of Quebec City. Visitors can experience traditional French countryside, regional cuisine, historic sites, and local homemade goods. Some of the things you’ll need to try when visiting: local wine, fruits and vegetables, honey, maple products, and dairy products. The views are also spectacular!

Malaquite Beach | Corpus Christi, TX

December 28, 2018 by E. Casa de Calvo

One of my favorite beaches in the Corpus Christi area. It is a little off the beaten path, but there are showers, pavilions, and other amenities once you arrive. Well worth the drive!

Baie Saint Paul | Québec, Canada

February 10, 2016 by E. Casa de Calvo

Baie-Saint-Paul has many wonderful restaurants and historic attractions. I just need to brush up on my French, because this is an exclusively French speaking area. C’est la vie.

Snoopy’s | Corpus Christi, TX

February 6, 2014 by E. Casa de Calvo

These pictures show the route my dog and I would take along the shoreline for morning walks. According to my dog, there is no better place to poop than on the shoreline (I always pick it up, of course). The one hazy looking picture is of a Spanish style house off of a main shoreline street. This is architecturally an interesting home, but I like this picture because it shows the heavy haze of fog seen most mornings. There is also […]
