Santa Fe, NM ~ The first two photos were taken within the city of Santa Fe, but the remaining were taken within an Indian reservation, location unknown (unremembered). Sometimes we just start driving in a direction until we feel like stopping. Therefore, I can’t remember how we arrived at this particular reservation outside of Santa Fe, but I do remember stopping due to the beautiful church grounds. Advertisements
Red Wing, MN ~ Red Wing is located on the Mississippi River. It is known for natural attractions, nearby Frontenac State Park is popular for birdwatching. It is also known for, you guessed it, Red Wing Shoes and Red Wing Stoneware. Most towns situated on the Mississippi make for beautiful places to visit. This town is no exception, and has a lot of historic charm.
Washington, D.C. ~ I had the pleasure of staying at the Capitol Hill Hotel, located in (you guessed it!) Capitol Hill. Not only was the hotel beautiful and full of wonderful amenities, it was also located in a charming historic residential area. It was so much fun walking around the neighborhood, and enjoying the local restaurants and businesses. It is easy to imagine living here, if I had an endless supply of money. Needless to say, living here ain’t cheap! […]
New York, NY ~ While visiting NYC we stayed at Chelsea Pines Inn on W 14th St., which we highly recommend. Directly across the street is the Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church at St. Bernard’s. Capturing the full scope of a large building in a tight city street isn’t easy, but I thought this one was worth a try. We also had a chance to catch a game at Citi Field. Unbeknownst to me, I was sporing the opposing […]
Montréal, Canada ~ The first photo in this series is of our hotel room at Parc Suites Hotel, 3463 Park Ave, Montreal, QC H2X 2H6, Canada (parcsuites.com). I’m sure there are fancier, newer places to stay nearby, but we greatly enjoyed this particular hotel because of the homely feel of the rooms and friendliness of the staff. You feel like you are staying in your own downtown apartment. From this location we were able to walk in all directions, exploring […]
Various Locations ~ I was asked to put together a set of black and white photos for a family member to use in their restaurant. These are the photos they selected, in black and white of course. Some of these photos have already been posted (in color) on this website. The newer ones, taken this year or last year, have yet to be posted. So this is sort of a sneak peak of things to come. Enjoy!

Riviera, TX ~ These photos were taken while on a drive to the country side. If you happen to live in these parts, you’ll know that everywhere is technically the “country side.” Either way, this was one of those afternoon drives where we went off of the main highway just to see what we could find. The Our Lady of Consolation church is located south of Kingsville, TX on Country Road 628. This church has a fascinating history; established around […]

Boise, ID ~ I was in awe of the beautiful neighborhoods throughout Boise. The town is rich in history. The cathedral featured below was located directly across the street from our residence. On the other side of this cathedral was a really neat co-op with fabulously healthy food. It was nice being able to walk to the grocery store.
