Tuscon, AZ ~ San Xavier Mission is a historic landmark located on the Tohono O’odham Nation San Xavier Indian Reservation, 9 miles south of downtown Tucson, Arizona. These photos are of the surrounding grounds. After visiting the mission, you can take a walk up the hill to view the grotto, or visit the gift shop and food stand across the street.
Corpus Christi, TX ~ The Corpus Christi Bay houses a number of attractions. These pictures were taken while visiting the USS Lexington and the Texas State Aquarium. You can swim in the bay, but you’ll see far more fishers than swimmers. It goes without saying that Texas is hot in the summers, but Corpus is unbelievably hot AND humid. The one thing that is nice about this time of year is watching the sky turn beautiful colors before and after a storm. I captured these photos while driving home one afternoon. Half were taken near the Richard […]
Ypsilanti, MI ~ The Peninsular Paper plant was constructed in 1867 and closed around 2001. The building pictured is the old Peninsular Paper generator house. This structure is now officially owned by the Peninsular Apartments (not pictured; located on the opposite side of the river). The remaining pictures are of the Huron River and of the Eastern Michigan University campus – Go EMU Eagles!

Onekama, MI ~ I regret that I only took two pictures on our quick detour in Onekama, MI. These shots were taken outside of the Onekama Library. This was before we owned smart phones, so we needed to ask a live human for directions while on a road trip. This seemed like a peaceful place to read a book.
