One of my favorite beaches in the Corpus Christi area. It is a little off the beaten path, but there are showers, pavilions, and other amenities once you arrive. Well worth the drive!

The Corpus Christi Bay houses a number of attractions. These pictures were taken while visiting the USS Lexington and the Texas State Aquarium. You can swim in the bay, but you’ll see far more fishers than swimmers. It goes without saying that Texas is hot in the summers, but Corpus is unbelievably hot and humid. Port A, as the locals call it, is about 35 minutes away from Corpus Christi, TX. Here you will find snow birds and die hard locals. This isn’t a fancy resort spot, but it is clean and friendly. If you want beach time without crowds, this is the place to be.
