Lubbock Lake Landmark

Lubbock, TX ~

The Lubbock Lake Landmark is an archeological and natural history preserve. No actual lake exists here, but an attempt to create one in the 1930’s revealed artifacts of inhabitants spanning nearly 12,000 years.

The sculptures below are said to be reconstructed from bones found here. You can observe actual digs, and even participate in some. This is a fascinating place!
