Madison Square

Savannah, GA ~

Madison Square dates back to 1839, and features a bronze monument of Sergeant William Jasper, an American Revolutionary War soldier. St. John’s Episcopal Church (est. 1853) is also located within the square. The historic square is known to have hosted guests like General William Sherman and Robert E. Lee, and is even reported to be haunted. I call shenanigans on the ghosts. Instead you’ll find many nice restaurants and shops nearby, including the amazing Savannah College of Art and Design campus located one block away. Sadly, I cannot remember what hotel we stayed at while visiting Savannah, but I posted pictures from the lobby and room anyhow.
