USS Lexington | Corpus Christi, TX

January 22, 2014 by E. Casa de Calvo

The Corpus Christi Bay houses a number of attractions. These pictures were taken while visiting the USS Lexington and the Texas State Aquarium. You can swim in the bay, but you’ll see far more fishers than swimmers. It goes without saying that Texas is hot in the summers, but Corpus is unbelievably hot and humid. The original photos had such a haze that the color was grayish. The colors have been adjusted a bit, perhaps too much. Anyhow, I hope […]

Sand Dunes | South Haven, MI

May 3, 2013 by E. Casa de Calvo

South Haven is a favorite vacation spot when in Michigan. These pictures were taken from the Van Buren State Beach & Dunes. I was too busy having fun to take a ton of pictures. Now I wish I had taken more! Running up and down huge sand dunes is the best exercise.

Port A | Port Aransas, TX

February 2, 2013 by E. Casa de Calvo

Port A, as the locals call it, is about 35 minutes away from Corpus Christi, TX. Here you will find snow birds and die hard locals. This isn’t a fancy resort spot, but it is clean and friendly. If you want beach time without crowds, this is the place to be.

The Boys Are Back in Town | Manistee, MI

June 6, 2012 by E. Casa de Calvo

I have many great memories of good people and good times. The quiet times were also enjoyable; many peaceful strolls along the beach and even a little bit of swimming. I can’t tell you how nice it is to swim in a large body of water without worrying about critters. The Great Lakes are grrreat!
