Lubbock, TX ~

One of Lubbock’s trademarks is its flat land. Whenever it rains, flash flooding is a problem due to poor drainage (again, a product of extremely flat land). If you were unfortunate enough to be caught walking during a shower, expect to get soaked, even with an umbrella. After a few minutes it will feel like you are walking through inches of water. Better yet, it was always a sad sight to see people on the sidewalk get drenched by a wave of water from a passing bus. These pictures were taken on a rainy day, thus the fond memories of Lubbock rain.
