Westwego, LA ~

These fishing boats were docked near the Market Wego, which is in walking distance. The market offers fresh fish and other local catches. These pictures were taken at the start of a swamp tour. After the tour we purchased a chicken stuffed with crawfish and dirty rice… yummmmie! The best. The fishing economy has really struggled since Katrina, so this was a somewhat somber experience, but you can’t keep the people of Louisiana down!
