Hole N’ The Rock | Moab, UT

June 20, 2012 by E. Casa de Calvo

The drive through Utah can be sparse at times. This place, like the name suggests, is in the middle of nowhere, which is why I’m guessing it is a popular attraction (you stop when you can). They had a nice gift shop, but what was most peculiar was the petting zoo. Although, those poor animals weren’t in any mood for petting.

Ghost Town | Fluvanna, TX

May 7, 2012 by E. Casa de Calvo

I’m a fan of detours on road trips, however, this detour was short lived. I felt uneasy immediately upon entering the town. I’m sure this is due to watching too many “The Hills Have Eyes” movies. Fluvanna is about an hour and a half away from Lubbock, TX. It seems this area was deserted around the 1940’s, after railways were taken over by highways. As far as I can tell, it is still a ghost town.
