New Orleans, LA ~ This is only a glimpse of Tulane’s campus. The grounds are quite large, and we didn’t have enough time to see everything. Even still, we had a very pleasurable stroll on a very nice day! Advertisements
Westwego, LA ~ We drove to Westwego, about 20 miles away from New Orleans, for a swamp tour of Bayou Segnette. We saw all kinds of neat critters; gators, birds, and the neatest of all – a family of nutrias building a nest. The tour was relaxing and peaceful. The tour guide mentioned that he used to play in these swamps as a kid… without a boat. I’m surprised he is still alive to tell about it!
Onekama, MI ~ I regret that I only took two pictures on our quick detour in Onekama, MI. These shots were taken outside of the Onekama Library. This was before we owned smart phones, so we needed to ask a live human for directions while on a road trip. This seemed like a peaceful place to read a book.
