San Xavier Mission | Grounds

Tuscon, AZ ~ San Xavier Mission is a historic landmark located on the Tohono O’odham Nation San Xavier Indian Reservation, 9 miles south of downtown Tucson, Arizona. These photos are of the surrounding grounds. After visiting the mission, you can take a walk up the hill to view the grotto, or visit the gift shop and food stand across the street.

USS Lexington

Corpus Christi, TX ~ The Corpus Christi Bay houses a number of attractions. These pictures were taken while visiting the USS Lexington and the Texas State Aquarium. You can swim in the bay, but you’ll see far more fishers than swimmers. It goes without saying that Texas is hot in the summers, but Corpus is unbelievably hot AND humid. Highway 77

Robstown, TX ~ If you have ever lived in south Texas, you know that there are only two seasons: hot (summer) and muggy/rainy (winter). Usually there isn’t much to be desired about the rainy season; mud everywhere and mosquitoes the size of hummingbirds.
