Swamp Tour

Westwego, LA ~

We drove to Westwego, about 20 miles away from New Orleans, for a swamp tour of Bayou Segnette. We saw all kinds of neat critters; gators, birds, and the neatest of all – a family of nutrias building a nest. The tour was relaxing and peaceful. The tour guide mentioned that he used to play in these swamps as a kid… without a boat. I’m surprised he is still alive to tell about it!
