Île d’Orléans

December 29, 2018 by E. Casa de Calvo

Quebec, QC ~ The historic Île d’Orléans is located in the St. Lawrence river, within view of Quebec City. Visitors can experience traditional French countryside, regional cuisine, historic sites, and local homemade goods. Some of the things you’ll need to try when visiting: local wine, fruits and vegetables, honey, maple products, and dairy products. The views are also spectacular!

Malaquite Beach

December 28, 2018 by E. Casa de Calvo

Corpus Christi, TX ~ One of my favorite beaches in the Corpus Christi area. It is a little off the beaten path, but there are showers, pavilions, and other amenities once you arrive. Well worth the drive!

San Antonio, TX ~ Brackenridge park is located in downtown San Antonio, and is surrounded by numerous attractions like the San Antonio Zoo, Japanese Tea Garden, and multiple museums. The final picture in this set is of the beautiful Hotel Emma (a converted 19th century brewery), also located near by.

The Myrtles Plantation

December 28, 2018 by E. Casa de Calvo

St Francisville, LA ~ These photos were taken in 2010, with one of my first cameras, so the quality is not that great. This hotel is known to be extremely haunted. We had a few spooky events occur while staying here, but nothing too terrifying. The food and service was fantastic, and the scenery is beautiful. I’d recommend their restaurant if you are in the area, but I think that one night stay was enough for me.

Olympic Stadium | Interior

November 26, 2018 by E. Casa de Calvo

Montreal, QC ~ We had the pleasure of taking the guided tour, which walks you through Olympic Park’s history and preparations for the 1976 Olympics. In addition to sporting and cultural events, the stadium houses a world class fitness training facility and olympic swimming pools. The Sports Centre boasts the most swim lanes of any facility in Québec, and is open to the public.
