The Red Wing Amtrak runs the Empire Builder line, which runs daily from Chicago, Seattle, and Portland, with westbound stops at Winona and Saint Paul Minnesota. The station was opened in 1905. It is located on the Mississippi River and houses the Red Wing Visitor and Convention Bureau. It was a cold day on this visit, but the station and platform were very peaceful and inviting.
