One of my favorite places to be! The people are nice, the stores are unique, and there is history at every turn. Each building has an original style and most are very well maintained. Anyone who loves antiquing should consider a visit.

Montréal is a vibrant city, mixed with historic and modern architecture. These photos were taken on a stroll around the city. Rue Saint-Jean was the street that I’d use to walk to and from Old Québec. This street has a beautiful mix of modern and historic architecture. The Guenther House is a beautifully restored home belonging to Carl Guenther, founder of Pioneer Flour Mills (est. 1898). The home is located in downtown San Antonio on the San Antonio River. This property also contains a museum and restaurant. The food is delicious and the atmosphere is amazing.

Jackson Square, named after Andrew Jackson, is a huge attraction in New Orleans. It is located in the French Quarter around many other historical sites, including the St. Louis Cathedral (also pictured). On almost any given day you can enjoy the works of local artists and musicians in the square. Sadly, on this given day a storm rolled in and drenched myself and my trusty camera. This was the day my first fancy camera died. : (

If you visit New Orleans, you will most likely end up in the French Quarter at some point. These photos are a glimpse of the storefronts and residential areas of the Quarter. As a side note, you should always know where you are going while in New Orleans. Just saying.

I truly regret not getting more photos of the homes and buildings on this island. I was having too much fun I guess. This is one of the most beautiful getaways I’ve ever been on. Most travel is done by bike, buggy, or foot, which means a lot of exercise and outdoor time. The historic element is amazing. It is as if the town is preserved in time, a pristine reflection of the Victorian era.
