South Haven, MI ~ South Haven is a favorite vacation spot when in Michigan. These pictures were taken from the Van Buren State Beach & Dunes. I was too busy having fun to take a ton of pictures. Now I wish I had taken more! Running up and down huge sand dunes is the best exercise you could ever have.

Lakeway, TX ~ Lake Travis is about 40 minutes west of Austin, TX. These pictures where taken while visiting the Lakeway Resort and Spa. This was a quick weekend getaway, so we stayed primarily at the resort. It is a wonderful place to just relax. We were fortunate enough to have great weather as well.

Onekama, MI ~ I regret that I only took two pictures on our quick detour in Onekama, MI. These shots were taken outside of the Onekama Library. This was before we owned smart phones, so we needed to ask a live human for directions while on a road trip. This seemed like a peaceful place to read a book.

Mackinac Island, MI ~ I truly regret not getting more photos of the homes and buildings on this island. We were having too much fun I guess. St. Ignace, MI ~ In my opinion, Michigan gets more and more beautiful the further north you go. St. Ignace is one of those northern towns. It has many beautiful attractions and is a primary port for ferries transporting people to and from Mackinac Island. This set of pictures was taken at the docks near the St. Ignace Lighthouse.

Ropesville, TX ~ Ropesville is located about 30 minutes southwest of Lubbock, TX. These photos were taken from a gas station located right off of the highway. This was a common stopping point on our road trips. There isn’t anything too impressive about this particular gas station, but what did impress me was the scale – everything does seem bigger in Texas!

Post, TX ~ Post is a small town about 45 minutes away from Lubbock, TX. This was often a stopping point on our way out of town. There is a really good (in a bad way) burger stand on the north side of town.
