Captured these beauties while strolling through D.C., mainly around the national mall and monuments. I was fortunate to have visited at the beginning of the spring bloom. Also very lucky to have had perfect weather. Overall, it was a perfect visit!

One of my favorite places to be! The people are nice, the stores are unique, and there is history at every turn. Each building has an original style and most are very well maintained. Anyone who loves antiquing should consider a visit.

While visiting NYC I stayed at Chelsea Pines Inn on W 14th St., which I highly recommend. Directly across the street is the Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church at St. Bernard’s. This is Winona in the winter. This particular winter was mild, or so they say. As a Texan, all Minnesota winters are brutal to me. The aerial views were taken from E. Jackson Square, named after Andrew Jackson, is a huge attraction in New Orleans. It is located in the French Quarter around many other historical sites, including the St. Louis Cathedral (also pictured). On almost any given day you can enjoy the works of local artists and musicians in the square. Sadly, on this given day a storm rolled in and drenched myself and my trusty camera. This was the day my first fancy camera died. : (

I have many great memories of good people and good times. The quiet times were also enjoyable; many peaceful strolls along the beach and even a little bit of swimming. I can’t tell you how nice it is to swim in a large body of water without worrying about critters. The Great Lakes are grrreat!

Post is a small town about 45 minutes away from Lubbock, TX. This was often a stopping point on the way out of town. These pictures were taken on a Sunday afternoon, which explains why it looks so desolate.
